The recent outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria has continued to elicit reactions from the citizenry.


Some respondents in Awka, who spoke to health Correspondent, Chibuzor Okoye said that the virus is giving them source for concern.


According to a barber at Kwata Awka, Mr. Ndubisi Eke, since the outbreak of the virus, his work is no longer at ease, as he suspects almost all his customers to have contracted the virus, even as he added that he had a drop in number of customers, who visit his shop.


Mr. Eke, who explained that what aggravated his fear is the fact that Coronavirus has no cure and Nigerians hardly keep personal hygiene called on government at all levels to intensify awareness campaign about the virus.
For a trader, Mrs. Nkiruka Okoro, she has not travelled to buy goods since the outbreak of the Virus in order not to be infected.


Mrs. Okoro commended the Anambra State Ministry of Health for their awareness campaign so far urging them to keep it up.


A visit to some of the financial institutions and shopping malls around Awka metropolis indicated that most staff of the institutions have taken precautionary measures by covering their mouths, nose and hands to checkmate the disease.


Though the only case of Coronavirus in Nigeria happened in Lagos, the Anambra State Ministry of Health is appealing to Ndi Anambra to adhere strictly to all the prevention tips and keeping of personal hygiene at all times.
