In its effort to ensure that Anambra State remains free from the coronavirus pandemic, the State Government through the Ministry of Health has set up convid-19 task force.
The task force which is in collaboration with the State Ministry of Culture, Indigenous Artworks, Tourism and Diaspora Affairs is to ensure that all hospitality homes in the state keep to all preventive measures while dealing with their guests.
Speaking to the ABS during a visit to some of the hospitality homes in Awka, the leader of the team, Mr Chidi Kalu said that they are teaching them the basic hygiene procedures for convid-19, how to use the infrared thermometer screening machine, the alcohol based sanitizer, as well as ensure that every guest is screened and documented in order to track and checkmate the eventual track of convid-19.
He urged hospitality homes to always update their automated guests manifest daily, to enable them know where their guest came from, the transport company he or she used and the people he had contact with, if the need arises.
The Director of Hospitality in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Indigenous Artworks and Diaspora Affairs, Mrs Stella Adah appealed to all the homes visited to adhere to the basic hygiene procedures for the betterment of all and sundry.
One of the managers of the hospitality homes, Mr James Onam described the exercise as life saving and promised that they will do all that is required of them in order to be safe and free from the virus.
