The Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency has mobilized two vulnerable groups in Anambra West council area to embark on community development projects.


The CSDA team led by their General Manager, Mr. Chudi Mojekwu made the presentation when they visited the two communities in Anambra West Council Area to interact with the vulnerable groups including Efuobi at Inoma and Chibuike at Owelle, after which bank cheques were presented to them for commencement of choosen projects.


The scheme allows vulnerable groups to access finds from the government to embark on projects that would beneficial to the enter community.


In an interview, Mr. Mojekwu emphasized that the projects will be fully executed by the groups and concerned community members, as the CSDA provides the funds in batches as they monitor the projects progress.


He said that the fund will be released in two batches to ensure the speedy completion of the projects before the commencement of the rainy season, appreciating the state government for its concern for rural development through their partnership with World Bank.


The joy of the good gesture was expressed by the benefiting groups and community members including the President General of Owelle, Mr.
Augustine Nwakude, the Vice President General of Inoma, Mr. Godwin Edojah who noted that the infrastructure will go a long way in assisting the community while Monday Nnorika and Mary Nwabu appreciated the state government for remembering those in the rural areas in their developmental schemes.


The visit featured signing of agreements and presentation of bank cheques.
