Wife of the governor of Anambra State and founder of the NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano has appealed to residents of the state to stick to effective precautionary measures as the fight against the coronavirus pandemic rages.
Dr Mrs Obiano stated this when she made an appearance at ABS studios to lend her voice to the growing scourge of the pandemic across the world.
Dr Obiano who is South East Ambassador of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, WASH, said that it was important for operators and managers of public places like markets, malls and banks to make running water, soaps and sanitizer available for their teeming attendants, and observe other health safety guidelines issued by the World Health Organization, WHO, and Anambra State government.

The Governor’s wife who expressed hope that the pandemic would soon be a thing of the past, urged the people especially mothers to see this period as a critical time that demands keen prayers, adding that the necessary precautions must be taken in addition to the prayers and supplications.
She commended the federal and Anambra State Government’s responses to the scourge, adding that they were the perfect steps to curbing the geometric spread of the virus across nations and continents.
Dr Obiano also said that the recent temporary suspension of training for the three hundred trainees who are taking part in the CAFE’s free skills acquisition programme in Awka, was also in adherence to the social distancing guidelines issued by the government and health experts, assuring that the training would resume once the virus recedes.

She urged mothers to remain hopeful and protect their children at all costs during this difficult period.
