Commercial buses loading and offloading passengers as well as Barrow pushers along the Upper Iweka axis of Enugu Onitsha Express way have been directed to move into parks designated to them by the government or stand to face the full weight of the law.
The State Commissioner For Transport Honorable Christian Madubuko gave the directive while decongesting the express way along Nitel Bus stop Onitsha.

While addressing the commercial bus drivers plying Onitsha – Asaba and Barrow pushers along the road, Commissioner Madubuko stated that the loading and offloading point is dangerous to their lives due to series of accidents that have claimed somany lives at that point and directed them to make use of the service lane untill their park is ready.
He reiterated the State Government determination to ensure the safety of lives and property of Ndi Anambra, urging them to comply with the directive for their safety saying that the decongestion exercise will be a continuous one.
Reacting to the directive the some of the bus drivers including Messers Kingsley Igolo and Jay-Sammy Ikoyi and a Barrow pusher Mr Godwin Utazi commended the state government for its concern and pledged to comply with the directive.

Meanwhile about five Illegal toll collectors comprising of three men from Willie Workforce and two thouts were apprehended by the Commissioner and his team and were handed over to the police.
The Commissioner pointed out that they will be tried at the mobile court and when found guilty will be persecuted accordingly saying that criminals will not have a resting place in the State as the State wants peace.
