The Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Christian Mmadubuko says the State is determined to ensure that it does not record any case of Corona-virus pandemic.


He disclosed this when he led officials of his Ministry, members of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency among others to enforce the State government’s directive on number of passengers Tricycles, shuttle buses and other buses should carry at any given time.


The Anambra State government had earlier directed that commercial tricycles should carry only two passengers, shuttle buses three while buses will convey four at a time.


Explaining the essence of the exercise, Dr. Mmadubuko said that the move was part of measures by the Obiano administration to ensure that Ndi Anambra are protected from the deadly Corona-virus pandemic.


The Commissioner pointed out that the exercise will be a continuous process until total compliance is achieved, and appealed to transporters to heed the government’s directive for the good of all.


Dr. Mmadubuko had earlier monitored compliance of inter-state vehicles coming to Anambra State from other parts of the country at the Amansea-Enugu State border, to ascertain whether their passengers Manifest are well documented.


He equally enforced traffic compliance at the UNIZIK and Arroma Junctions, Eke Awka and Amawbia roundabouts among other places.
