As Anambra is yet to record any case of coronavirus, Ndi Anambra has been advised to adhere to all the policies by the state government directed towards preventing the Coronavirus from entering the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala gave the advice in Awka, during an ABS audience participatory program, where he highlighted ways through which one can contact the virus, the symptoms, and the preventive measures.
Dr Okpala who noted that the state will do its best to ensure that the state remains free of the pandemic, advised the residents of state to support the effort of the government by keeping to the instructions against the disease.
The Commissioner for Health called on the good spirited individuals within and outside the state to be part of the fight by donating medical equipments, cash among others to help the state get better prepared to battle the spread of the virus.
Dr Okpala who noted that the Covid-19 action team is working with the community leaders for effective sensitization commended the state government for its commitment and dedication to the fight against coronavirus.
Contributing through phone calls and social media messages, some of the listeners including James from Awka, Chukwudi from Nnewi, David Moore from Nanka, Jude Nwafor from Oko among others lauded the measures put in place by the state government to combat the virus but suggested for total closure of all the Anambra boundaries as a way to best protect the state and Ndi Anambra.
