The member representing Njikoka One Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Dr. Timothy Ifedioramma, has concluded the sensitization campaign and distribution of Coronavirus preventive and protective materials to his constituents, comprising Enugwu-Ukwu, Enugwu-Agidi and Nawfia communities.
Addressing his constituents at some of the markets visited, Dr.
Ifedioramma said the sensitization programme was embarked upon in view of the infectious nature of the virus, which has continued to cause more deaths, even in the developed nations.
The Lawmaker, who noted that the Covid-19 sensitization programme is in line with the directives of Governor Willie Obiano to prevent the pandemic from spreading into the State, explained to the people that the virus is mostly transmitted through human beings, but can be prevented by observing government preventive measures, including social distancing, personal and environmental hygiene.
While commending Governor Willie Obiano for providing economic stimulus packages for Ndi-Anambra, Dr. Ifedioramma called on community, religious, political and market leaders in the area to assist in driving the message to the grassroots.
: Providing further explanations to the people, Doctors Uchenna Okeke and Ikechukwu Obiudu, said Covid-19 presents little or no symptoms at early stage, making it a serious threat to mankind.
They commended the Lawmakers for championing the interest of people of the area Buckets for hand-washing, soaps and sanitizer gells were distributed to markets and people of the area.
