In line with its core objectives of its mandate including touching lives positively, the Ogazi Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization, has visited the Blessed-Nise Community Children’s Home, where it donated food stuff and other items needed for Covid-19 prevention in the Home.

The Founder of the foundation, Dr. Chidi Okoye, whose message was delivered by a Board of Trustees member, Chief Marcel Manafa, said the visit was to contribute in putting smile on the faces of inmates this Easter especially now that the Corona-virus pandemic is taking its toll on meager resources for family upkeep.

Correspondent Joseph Egbeocha brings details.
Dr Okoye praised the commitment of Staff of the Home for the well-being of the children, especially in observing all outlined Corona-virus preventive measures, adding that the visit was to assist the government in cushioning the effects of lockdown needed to effectively fight the pandemic.

He noted that though there is no case of the virus in Anambra State, Governor Willie Obiano has continued to show leadership by example through the establishment and equipping of Corona-virus Protection Centres across the State for any eventuality.

Receiving the items, the Manager of the home, Mrs Vera Ugochukwu, thanked the Ogazi Foundation for remembering the needy, especially now that the Covid-19 is affecting the economies of various families and nations.
She maintained that Corona-virus preventive measures are strictly observed in the Home, which is why visitors are no longer allowed to play with the children at the Home.

Buckets for hand washing, soaps, hand-gloves, nasal masks were among the items donated to the Home by the foundation.
