With two million naira donation, Aguleri World Forum has joined league of donors responding to Anambra State Government’s call for support in fighting the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

Presenting a cheque for the sum at the Government House, Awka, leader of the delegation, Honourable Chriscato Ameke, said the body, made up of sons and daughters of Aguleri, and with the protection of the interest of the people as a cardinal objective, is making the donation to support their brother, the Governor of the State, Chief Willie Obiano in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

The group expressed satisfaction with steps so far taken by the Government in ensuring that the State remains free of the pandemic, calling on other communities, organizations and the wealthy to support government’s efforts.

Receiving the cheque, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, thanked the Forum for assisting the Government in championing the interest of Ndi-Anambra at this critical moment, calling for community-based actions in cushioning the effects of lockdown needed to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading into Anambra State.

Present during the donation include the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Chief Uche Nworah.
