Aside from the primary intention of the Governor Willie Obiano’s administration, to bridge the gap resulting from the closure of schools to prevent the spread of corona virus, as well as prepare Anambra students for examinations, the introduction of Anambra Teaching on Air by the Ministry of Basic Education in collaboration with the Anambra Broadcasting Service, has also exposed Anambra teachers to global visibility.
This was shown in an appreciation message to the Basic Education Commissioner Professor Kate Omenugha, by one of the teachers participating in the program, Mr. Kenneth Nweke.
Mr. Nweke who taught Physics in the program stated that he has been invited by two PhD students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of London UK, to participate in a conference relating to alternating current circuit, a topic which he treated in first outing of the program.
He appreciated Professor Omenugha for her efforts in projecting Anambra teachers.
