Anambra Youth Coalition Against COVID-19 has thrown its weight behind the resolve of the State government to strengthen the lockdown directives.
In a release signed by Comrade Innocent Nduanya, Deputy National President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Mr Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, Leader of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Youth Wing Anambra State, Comrade Samuel Egwuatu Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter and Comrade Onyedika Eweh, Secretary-General, Anambra Youth Political Agenda, said that they are grateful to God for the quick recovery of the only index case recorded in Anambra State.

The Coalition while commending the Anambra State House of Assembly for passing the Anambra COVID-19 bill aimed at halting the Coronavirus Pandemic urged Ndi Anambra, especially the Youths, to adhere to all preventive measures to enable the government discharge its duties effectively.

It called on Security Agencies, to intensify operational enlightenment on her officers, in order to enhance credibility and sustain serenity during enforcement of the lockdown order in the State.

The Coalition expressed satisfaction with the position of the State government on the Nkpor incident and also called on Ndi Anambra, especially the Youths, to obey the sit at home order and to always avoid acts capable of brewing violence.

They equally thanked Governor Willie Obiano for the usual demonstration of the Youth Priority in his administration by considering to engage two thousand youths in Agriculture, in addition to accommodating the Youths in the Palliative measures, by giving four hundred bags of rice to each of the one hundred and eighty-one Communities in Anambra State and called for all hands to be on deck in the fight against coronavirus.
