Youths in Nsugbe, Anambra East Council Area, have benefited from the
palliative measures of the Obiano administration in mitigating the
effect of hardship caused by Coronavirus pandemic.

The youths who trooped out in their numbers at the residence of the
President General, Nsugbe Development Union in Offianta village
Nsugbe, showered encomiums on the governor for coming to their aid in
a time like this.

The four hundred bags of rice, shared under the supervision of the
Project Monitoring office, witnessed social distancing and other
preventive measures.

Addressing the gathering, the Caretaker Committee Chairman Of Nsugbe
Development Union, Mr. Ossy Nwoye said that Governor Willie Obiano
meant well for Ndi Nsugbe which made them to be among the first to
receive the largesse.

He urged them to be their brother’s keepers and to maintain the government directives by wearing face masks, wash their hands regularly while maintaining a healthy
environment, pledging their total support to Obiano administration.

The youth leader of the community, Mr. Christian Ebochie, extolled the
Governor for the gesture which he said has gone a long way in wiping
out poverty and hunger amongst them stating that they will continue to
live positively.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Ifunanya Ejimofor,Chukwuka Ogugua and Ekwi
Onwuzulike, thanked the governor for remembering them and prayed God to
bless him the more.
