A non- political and ethnic association, the Da Forum Club Worldwide, has presented the sum of six hundred and twenty-five thousand naira to the Anambra State government to aid its fight against coronavirus pandemic.
Some members of the club resident in Anambra state, while presenting the cheque to the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu said the Association considered it necessary to give at this period when the human race is facing a serious health challenge.

Professor Chukwulobelu who received the cheque on behalf of the Anambra State government, said that the constant rise in the number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria meant that government must brace for a second phase in intervention approaches.

He noted that more donations are still needed to respond to the threat, adding that anything given to the government at this period would be accounted for through a detailed publication at the end of the period.
The immediate past President of the club, Mr Emeka Okoye, who led the group, said that the donation was in line with the constitution of the Club which requires them to respond to a particular societal problem or call each year.

He added that the club, which has been running for over twenty years, believed in building a society that guarantees the well-being of all people, irrespective of social, ethnic or economic segmentation.

Other members of the group who were present at the occasion were the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Emma Ude-Akpkeh, Mr. Marcel Manafa, Member, Board of Directors of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Broadcasting, and Creative Economy, Mr Mike Meze, Chief Executive Officer of Brand Aristotle and others.
