To assist the state government in the fight against Coronavirus Pandemic, the management team of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe NOCEN, has donated twenty cartons of hand sanitizer, with ten cartons of liquid hand wash and ten cartons of soap
.
The Management team led by the Provost of the College, Dr. Ifeyinwa Osegbo, who donated the preventive materials at the Government House Awka, said it was part of their corporate social responsibility, which according to her was to help curtail the spread of Covid-19.
While presenting the materials, Dr. Osegbo, said the gesture was in response to the state government’s plea for support in order to combat Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the whole world.
She said, the College was writing examination when the epidemic started but assured that the Institution will double efforts with every sense of responsibility to balance their academic calendar whenever school reopens.
On his part, the Bursar of the College, Mr. Peter Iloakasia, adviced all and sundry in the state to obey all government directives despite the fact that lockdown in Anambra state has been relaxed.
Receiving the Items, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, thanked the College for supporting the government in fighting the deadly virus.
According to Professor Chukwulobelu, their initiative to assist the state government in fighting the pandemic shows greater efficiency and effective management of the College.
He expressed satisfaction that the College has a Board who is pushing the school forward
