The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba, says the State Covid-19 testing centre will become operational within weeks.
He disclosed this when the Committee on Anambra Covid-19 report under South-East visited him at the Anambra Broadcasting Service Awka.

Mr Adinuba, said the State government has mandated the security agencies to ensure that people from other States does not come into the State and revealed that Anambra will continue to remain the safest State, as according to him the protective centres in the State are not just the best but has no patient.
While urging the people to listen to health experts, including Medical Doctors, Nurses and Pharmacists, Mr Adinuba called on religious leaders to key into the agenda of using scientific method to prevent Covid-19.
He further informed that the State government has placed an order for the latest Covid-19 testing equipment that will carry out tests in fifteen minutes instead of twenty four hours.
Earlier the leader of the delegation, Mrs Onyeka Obi said the visit was to deliberate on important issues, collaborate and solve problems as regards Covid-19 pandemic.
Two members of the Committee, Mr. Pius Umeh, and Mrs. Ugochi Freeman, said it is important for people to understand the reality of Covid-19 and to teach them some precautionary measures to safeguard their lives.
The Committee later sensitized the citizenry on Covid19 and equally distributed Face Masks to the people within Awka Metropolis.
