Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu, has donated cans of liquid soap, WHO-standard hand sanitizer, assorted designs of face masks to the Anambra State Government to help it’s fight against the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Presenting the items, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Mrs Nneka Mefoh, said the gesture was to assist the State Government in fighting the spread of the virus in the state commended measures taken by the State Government in managing Covid-19 index case in the State.
Dr. Mefoh, who explained that the items were produced by some departments in the Polytechnic, in accordance with acceptable standards, appreciated the State Government for it’s various interventions that have enabled the institution achieve much in record time.
Receiving the items, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu said all items donated, which are being judiciously utilised, have helped in the successful fight against the pandemic.
Professor Chukwubelu, who congratulated the Polytechnic for her achievements in a short while, said efforts are being made by the Government to ensure that the institution becomes self-reliant, adding that access roads to the Polytechnic are equally receiving Government’s attention.
Dr. Mrs Mefoh was accompanied by principal Staff of the Polytechnic during the donation.
