Governor who said that the two centers are located at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, confirmed a second case of COVID-19 in the State and called on ndi Anambra not to panick, but to go about their business observing WHO protocols.
The Governor also confirmed that the fresh COVID-19 patient is a business man who came back from Kano, assurred that he is currently being taken care of at the state’s Protective Center.
Governor Obiano disclosed that contact tracing, tests and further search for potential COVID-19 patients are still ongoing, restating that mass movement of people in groups within the state will no longer be allowed, even as he stressed that the 8 pm to 6 am curfew is still in place, adding that entering the state after 8pm daily by those on essential duties should wait till the following day , noting that security agencies have been directed to enforce compliance.
He commended Ndi Anambra who have donated to the state’s COVID-19 fund.
