The Resident Priest of Saint John the Divine, Ngozika Estate, Awka, Reverend Professor Benjamin Osisioma says God is ever merciful and compassionate to receive those who keep to his laws.
Reverend Prof Osisioma stated this in a sermon during service which has its theme as the “new life in Christ Jesus”.

He said that all men were condemned by their sins upon which God had mercy on them by restoring life and giving them hope of life eternal.
Reverend Professor Osisioma who maintained that Christ came to redeem his people, not to judge nor condemned, reminded the church that wages of sin is death, urging them to meditate on the laws of God and make themselves available to the work of Christ.

He further charged the parishioners to embrace God, allow him to transform their lives, pursue peace, embark on evangelism and sacrifice to see God’s hand at work.

At Saint Joseph’s De Worker Chaplaincy, UNIZIK Temporally Site, Awka, Reverend Father Kingsley Ibeh called on Christians to live by the love of Christ which supersedes all things.

Reverend Father Ibeh whose homily anchored on “If you love me, keep my commandments” said that love is the basic feature of God’s commandment and the New Testament instructed all to love one another as Christ did.

Meanwhile, the co-ordinator, Christian Association of Igbo Minister’s, Reverend Dr Tony Onuko has given the message of courage and hope to Christians in a time like this.

Reverend Onuko who gave the hope at Jesus Everlasting Evangelical Ministry, Awka traced the biblical David who despite all that besieged him, trust in God and was able to conquer, urging them not to panic but to have faith and trust in God, believing that sooner or later, the COVID-19 pandemic will be a thing of the past.
