The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okplala says accurate data collection is key to effective and sustainable health care delivery.

Dr. Okpala made this known at the training of Anambra State Health workers version of the 2019 National Health Management Information system data tool in Awka.

According to the Commissioner, qualitative data is the answer to proper planning adding that Anambra State government is highly determined to ensure that data collection in the State can never be compromised.

Dr. Okpala who said that accurate data is the key to planning explained that the Anambra state government will continue to invest much in data collection, especially at this COVID-19 era, and charged participants at the training to ensure that knowledge garnered is well utilized.

The Anambra state Project Co-ordinator, World Health Organization and European Union Health System Strengthening Project, Mr. Ndubuisi Oji said they will continue to support the Anambra state government to improve it’s health care delivery.

The Head of Department, Planning, Research and Statistics, Anambra State Ministry of Health, Mrs. Edith Nwachukwu maintained that accurate data collection and effective planning is one of the objectives of the Willie Obiano administration in Health sector.
