The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor says religious tolerance among different religious bodies in the country remains the primary solution to the prevailing discrepancies witnessed in all facets of governance in the country.
In his goodwill message to Muslims as they celebrate the feast of Eidel-fitri, Right Honourable Okafor urged them to pursue peace at all times since neither Islam nor Christianity preaches violence or hatred.
The Speaker who commended Governor Willie Obiano for providing an enabling environment for the Muslim Community in the state to propagate their faith and also earn their living, enjoined them to reciprocate the gesture by giving maximum support to the Obiano administration at all times.
He solicited prayers from all religious organizations to surmount political, economic, religious and health challenges facing the masses especially the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.
Right Honourable Okafor assured that the state legislature under his watch, would continue to support all efforts to promote harmonious coexistence among different tribes resident in the state.
