Succour has come the way of women of Igboukwu Community, Aguata Local
Government Area under the aegis of Igboukwu Development Union, Women
Wing, as two sons of the community provide them some palliatives
against the hardship induced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A former member of the Anambra state House of Assembly, Honourable
Ikem Uzoezie and the Chief Executive Officer of Golden-talis-Gucci
Natural Organic Redwine, Ezeonyebuchi Vitalis Okoye, donated three
hundred bags of Rice, three hundred cartoons of Noodles and three
hundred tubers of yam to help the women sustain themselves during this
pandemic.

Honourable Uzoezie had while presenting the items at Community
Secondary School Igboukwu, thanked friends, who came with them to
support their efforts at cushioning the effects of the ravaging
pandemic.

He equally thanked the thirty-six ward representatives, who came for
the event, pointing out that they targeted at women because they cater
for their families’ needs in the kitchen.

He added one hundred hand sanitizers and one hundred packets of
Vitamin C, to help them stay safe.
On his part, Ezeonyebuchi Okoye, advised the women to maintain social
distancing, wash their hands regularly and ensure that they stay safe
with their families.

He was accompanied by friends, including Chief Chukwujekwu Nwokeke of Ikenga.

In his welcome speech, Comrade Emeka Ezeokoye, Chairman of Ihuanuka
Village, Igboukwu, appreciated the donors for remembering their
people.

Also appreciating the donors, Mrs. Ijeoma Okeke on behalf of Igboukwu
women, IDU, , prayed for the donors to continue to grow from
strength to strength, asking God to replenish their pockets.
Highlights of the event were distribution of the bags of rice,
tubers of yam, and cartoons of noodles.
