Late Mrs Uchenna Etele has been laid to rest in Umuriam village Nawfia Njikoka Council Area.
The burial ceremony attracted members of the political class, the academia, petroleum dealers, numerous captains of industry, representatives from the Health sector , some members of the Nigeria Bar Association among other numerous individuals from all works of life.
The Late Mrs Uchenna Ifeoma Etele aged fourth eight was survived by five children and her husband Chief Vincent Etele who is a popular business mogul and a philanthropist.
Until her sudden demise, the late Mrs Etele was a teacher at Community Primary School Umuokpu.
She was a devoted Christian and committed member of the Anglican Communion.
Earlier during the burial service at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Nawfia, the Archdeacon, Nawfia Archdeaconry,Venerable Ifeanyi Umeh said that the passing on of every Christian should carry testimonies of their good deeds which have been reflected in the life of the deceased, describing the the Later Mrs Etele as a woman of honor.
Venerable Umeh reminded Christians not to see death as the end of road for the family rather as an accomplishment of one’s life which should be continued by others.
In their condolence messages to the deceased family, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife represented by a one time Commissioner for Lands, Evangelist Kenneth Enenmuo, the Chairman National Union of Teachers, Awka South Mr ThankGod Ekwunife and Mr. Chinedu Akuesodo described the death of Mrs Ifeoma Etele as a painful one, not just for the family but for anyone who understands the pains of losing someone who impacted positively on the society.
Responding on behalf of the Etele family, the brother -Inlaw of the deceased, Sir Nwora Etele and her first daughter, Barriester Chinazo Etele in tears said that the deceased was a dedicated and kind hearted woman who was always there for all as well as an epitome of great light and expressed gratitude to all who shared in their sorrow, praying God to protect them.
The Burial ceremony was conducted under strict compliance to the government’s directive of social distancing, wearing of mask and washing of hands while a rotation of thirty persons were seen at three venues that hosted the ceremony to reduce the risk of the spread of Coronavirus.
