Governor Willie Obiano has approved the purchase of two special Cameras for Anambra Broadcasting Service to enable students with hearing challenges benefit from the ongoing Anambra state teaching on air program.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Awka, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Disability Matters Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie, commended the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha for initiating the Teaching On Air program which he said has helped students in Anambra State and around the world to stay connected with their academic programs outside the classroom.
He added that the program has gained national commendations and has proved indispensable in this Covid-19 era.
Barrister Ezewuzie, thanked Governor Obiano for making it possible for the disability community in Anambra state to feel included in the program.
In his remark, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Sign Language Communications, Mr. Collins Joseph, praised Governor Obiano for his love for disabled Community in Anambra state, and commended the commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Omenugha and the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service for initiating such a wonderful programme.
