The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works has commended
the quality of jobs done on Ring road-Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local
Government Area.
The committee made the commendation when it visited the site to ascertain the level of works done so far as part of their constitutional responsibilities.
While inspecting the project, the Committee observed that the
construction firm handling the project has completed three point six
kilometers of the road with proper channelization of flood to enable
the road stand the text of time.
The Chairman of the committee, Dr Timothy Ifedioramma also applauded
the firm for working according to specification and appealed to
Governor Willie Obiano to approve more funds for the construction firm
so that intensive work will commence on Agu-Awka-Nise portions of the
road before the rain sets in.
On his part, the Project Contractor, Mr Ifeanyi Okafor explained that
the total length of the road is fourteen point two kilometers, but
they have competed three point six kilometers already, adding that
they are working hard to complete it in due time
