An Anambra born thirteen year old music artiste, Prince Oziomachukwu
Mojekwu, popularly known with his stage name, OzzyBosco, has organized
palliative outreach to support aged widows and widowers in his
hometown, Nnewi.

Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi covered the distribution exercise
and reports that over one hundred widows and widowers
within the Ezeoguine royal family, to which OzzyBosco belong benefitted from the intervention.

Though physically absent due to inter-state movement restrictions,
occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic, Ozzybosco’s gesture was well
received and felt by the beneficiaries.

The manager of the young artiste and coordinator of the palliative
outreach, Mr. Raphael Nwafor, revealed that it was extension of his
reach out to the vulnerable people affected by the economic down turn
occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, that he thought it wise to also
reach out to his kinsmen back home in Nnewi, Anambra state.
Mr. Nwafor said philanthropy is embedded in the benefactor whom he
said took a cue from his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Mojekwu who always
supports the needy and vulnerable.

Entrepreneurship, Mobilization and Strategy, Prince Nnamso
Nwafor-Orizu, commended the gesture of the young
philanthropist, describing it as worthy of emulation.
He was particularly happy that the young OzzyBosco said he is
emulating Governor Willie Obiano, who has been supportive of the aged
and vulnerable people since the period of the coronavirus pandemic.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Mrs. Monica Anajemba, Mr.
Ikechukwu Ezeobi and Mrs. Chizoba Anazodo, noted that it was wonderful
to see such a young boy being so philanthropic and said that they have
learnt that giving has no age barrier.
The palliative, which were given to the beneficiaries in a gift bag,
contained five thousand Naira each and numerous other edible items.
