A requiem mass has taken place at Saint James Catholic Church Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area in honour of the fallen founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Tonimas Nigeria Limited, Dr Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme.
The mass attracted people from all walks of life and was celebrated in full compliance with the Covid-19 pandemic protocols including wearing of face masks.
In a homily during the mass, Reverend Father Felix Efobi described death as a price every mortal must pay.
He described the late Dr Anthony Enukeme as a man of many parts who used his wealth to touch many lives.
Reverend Father Efobi charged affluent individuals to emulate the late Dr Enukeme who used his art of philanthropy to improve the living standards of the people.
He maintained that all the villages in Neni benefited from the good road network of Dr Enukeme adding that many people are in school because of him.
The Catholic Priest reminded Christians that life is all about race saying that Dr Enukeme has finished his race living good legacies.
Reverend Father Efobi charged Christians to always have absolute faith in God despite life challenges.
The mass which was officiated by the Parish Priest of Saint James Parish Neni, Reverend Father Amobi Chukwuma featured a special prayer for the Enukeme family and relations.
The Late Dr Anthony Enukeme, a strong employer of labour, a devout Christian, Grand President of the Knight of Saint John International Owerri Grand Commandery died on Tuesday June Nine at the age of Seventy-six after a brief illness leaving his wife Lady Mary Enukeme, six Children and many Business Associates.
