Anambra State Government says it will commence skills acquisition
trainings in the one hundred and seventy-nine Communities across the
State.

The Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Professor
Theresa Obiekezie, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen at the
Government House Awka.

Professor Obiekezie, who was recently redeployed to the Ministry, disclosed this during a maiden meeting with political appointees whose job descriptions focus on Youth Mobilization, Development and Empowerment as well as Digital Entrepreneurship for seamless and effective planning and implementation of youth oriented programmes.

She explained that in support of Governor Willie Obiano’s litany of
achievements in Security, the Ministry is committed to training the
youths down to the grassroots level.

Professor Obiekezie assured of the readiness of the State Government
to partner Ndi Anambra both at home and in the diaspora, in
implementing the initiative.

The meeting had in attendance, political appointees under the Ministry
of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy.

Also present were the Director-General of the Digital Entrepreneurship
Office, Mr Ifeanyi Anagoh and Chief Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Senior Special
Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment and Creative Economy.
