Nnewi, home of numerous transport companies was filled with joy as the
news of lift of ban on interstate movement reached the city.
ABS team led by Chimezie Umeh observed this when they visited some of
the major transport companies in the area.
The Nnewi branch manager, Romchi Mass Transport LTD, Mr. Ejiofor Ezeh
expressed delight on the opening of boundaries, stressing that the few months of the interstate ban of vehicular movement, have left them in agony as there were no means of generating money.
He reiterated their commitment to uphold the measures stipulated by the
government to ensure that the spread of the virus is contained.
At Ekeson Transport LTD, the branch manager, Mr. Uche Orji thanked the
federal government for lifting the ban and stated that most of their vehicles
were in their workshop where they are being serviced so as to be ready
to commence their business today.
Companies visited include Eastern Mass Transport Company, Romchi Mass
Transit, Globis Motors, Peace Mass Transit, Ekeson Mass Transit, among
others.
