Anambra state government has fumigated the state Assembly complex
offices and environs, against all forms of insects and microscopic
organisms.
The exercise, undertaken by the Department of Veterinary Services,
Ministry of Agriculture, Awka, was aimed at arresting COVID-19
pandemic.
The state Director, Veterinary Services, Dr Basil Ideh, during the
exercise, revealed that the fumigation will be extended to other public places, including motor parks and markets.
In their separate remarks, the member representing Onitsha South Two
Constituency at the state Assembly and the chairman, House Committee
on House Services, Honorable Uzoma Eli and his Idemili North
counterpart, Honorable Ifeanyi Chiekwu commended the Governor Willie
Obiano led administration for its prompt response to the challenging
situation.
They assured that the House will always support all the innovations,
policies and projects of the state government geared towards the
interest of Ndi Anambra.
The two Legislators harped on the need for transport companies within
and outside the state to abide by the operational policies set by
Anambra state government.
