Anambra state government has described media practitioners as major partners in the development of the state.

The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba, stated this when the Organizing Committee members of the 2020 Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Delegate Conference visited him at his office in Awka.

The Organizing Committee members of the 2020 NAWOJ Delegate Conference, which would be held in Awka on the thirtieth of this month, had visited the Commissioner to brief him on the schedule of the one-day meeting which would also produce new executive members to take part in the association’s national convention to be held in September this year.

Addressing the women journalists, Mr. Adinuba said that, apart from placing high premium on the welfare of media practitioners, the state government understands the value of women professionals in productive governance.
