Political stakeholders in Anambra state have been urged to put the future of the state above every other consideration in their decisions and actives.

Speaking to Journalists in Awka, the National Chairman of Willie Obiano support Group, Chief Jude Emecheta said zoning arrangement for the governorship position among the three Senatorial Districts of the state have stabilized the polity and advance the course of good governance.
Paul Ezeoke reports that Chief Emecheta said the zoning arrangement promotes equity and fairness in the political system as well as give all Senatorial zones a sense of belonging.

He noted that all the districts have quality human recourses capable of consolidating the achievements and high tempo of good governance in the state as the state has already recorded commendable strides through the zoning formula.

Chief Emechata noted that the zonal arrangement has continued to promote politics without bitterness, unity, understanding and harmonious co-existence among people and residents of the state as well as encourage healthy competition among the political actors.

He commended the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Governor Willie Obiano for promoting the principles of zoning, noting that people of the state are benefiting a lot from the arrangement which he said has brought development to the door step of every community.

Chief Emecheta urged all the political parties to select their standard bearer from Anambra South Senatorial District to achieve the set goals.
Also speaking a political Stewart, Sir Anthony Ezedinobi said Anambra South have quality politicians with proven leadership qualities to deliver democracy dividends to the masses.

In his reaction, a community leader, Chief Ignatius Obumneme urged stakeholders in Anambra south to select candidates with requisite qualification, competence, character and integrity for the election.
