The Anambra State House of Assembly resumed sitting after a
two week break occasioned by the fumigation of the entire House
complex and premises in line with COVID-19 preventive and protective
measures.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim who was there and
reports that welcoming the Lawmakers back from the break, the
Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor
commended the Executive Arm of government that fumigated the entire
House complex and premises to keep the area safe from contagious
diseases.
The Speaker commended Governor Willie Obiano for being at the
forefront of the war against COVID-19, stressing that his efforts is
yielding the desired results
He commended members of the House for using the two week break to
carry out more awareness campaigns on preventive measures against the
virus in their various constituencies.
On his part, the Chairman, House Committee on Information and Culture,
Honourable Okechukwu Okoye revealed that the House is back to continue
with their business of enacting laws for the benefit of the people.
The Legislator called on the people to always wear protective face
masks if they must step out to contain the spread of coronavirus in
the state
