The Director of the National Orientation Agency in Anambra State, Mr
Charles Nworji, has advised the people to volunteer themselves
for Coronavirus tests.
Speaking at Oye-Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area, during a
Sensitization on COVID-19, Mr Nworji, said that Coronavirus pandemic
has been on the increase since the easing of the lockdown.
He explained that Anambra State Government has commenced the COVID-19
test at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital,
Amaku- Awka.
While urging the people to always check their body temperature, Mr
Nworji a lawyer, stressed the need for the maintenance of both
environmental and physical hygiene by the people so that they might
not contract the disease and other communicable diseases.
The Director, who spoke on the symptoms and the preventive measures
of the COVID-19, charged Motorists in the State to heed the COVID-19
protocols, especially in maintaining social distancing and proper use
of the face masks by passengers.
Receiving the State Director and his team in his office during a
visit, the President-General of Nimo Town Development Union, Chief
Emmanuel Ndubuisi, extolled the commitments of the Agency in the
fight against the dreaded disease through their unrelenting grassroots
mobilization and sensitization programmes in the Country.
Earlier, the Deputy Director of Programmes in the Agency, Sir Joseph
Uchendu, maintained that the easing of the lockdown by the Government
does not mean that the coronavirus pandemic has been contained.
