Anambra State Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks,
Culture and Tourism, Dr Christian Madubuko says the Ministry will be
revived for enhanced Revenue generation for the State.
He stated this when he received Members of the Anambra State House of
Assembly Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism in his
office at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex in Awka.
The Commissioner noted that most countries like Australia depend on
tourism for their income.
He disclosed that Anambra has a lot of natural sites and if developed
will improve the tourism potential of the State and called for the
support and collaboration of the House of Assembly in actualizing the
objectives of the Ministry.
The Chairman House Committee on Diaspora Affairs and member
representing Orumba South Constituency, Mr Emmanuel Nwafor, promised
that the committee will revisit the Ministry’s budget, noting that
tourism is another source of revenue.
