South East States Youths have been asked to be more conscientious in disciplining themselves to act instead of talking.
An Ambassador – nominee, Chief Elijah Onyeagba, made the call while interacting with our Abuja Bureau Chief, Ekwi Ajide in his office after a successful screening by the National Assembly for ambassadorial position.
The Enugu Ukwu born politician, who was recently picked by President Muhamadu Buhari to represent Nigeria outside the shores of the country, called on youths to develop skills and make learning a continuous process in whatever area they aspire.
He implored youths of the Igbo extraction to aspire to belong to the decision making class as all decisions be it education, employment, health or otherwise affect them.
He decried the attitude of some youths, who expect money in exchange for whatever support they render and called for a reorientation stressing that one does not need money to be in politics but capacity as according to him, people will bring in their money to support your cause if they know you can deliver.
The Ambassador to be, cautioned that politics is not just about representation but drawing government’s attention to the needs of the people and called on political leaders to take up the campaign of sensitizing the populace to play down on money politics.
