Muslim faithful in Nigeria will today join their counterparts across
the world to celebrate this year’s feast of Eid-el-Kabir.
It is a day set aside to commemorate the willingness of Prophet
Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael in total obedience of a command
from Allah.
Prayers, sacrifices, works of charity and presentation of gifts will
take the centre stage during the festival.
The Federal government had earlier declared today and tomorrow as
public holiday to mark the event.
