The Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr.
Simeon Onyemaechi says government will continue to build and renovate
primary health care centres at the rural areas to enable it’s dwellers
to have access to a qualitative health care services.

Dr. Onyemaechi who said this while speaking to newsmen in Awka,
explained that the Willie Obiano administration is determined to
ensure that every resident of the State enjoy qualitative and
affordable health care services, hence the conceptualisation and
establishment of the agency.

He noted that the agency which is one of the legacy projects of the
current administration in the State, is poised to make sure that all
beneficiaries irrespective of their location in the state enjoy the much
benefits embedded in the scheme.

Dr. Onyemaechi who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Willie
Obiano on Health, advised people to always present themselves early
enough to health practitioners once they have any health challenge to
stay away from avoidable deaths.

He pointed out that the agency is working with Community leaders in
the State to ensure that there is a behavioural change about health
matters on the part of the populace for Anambra state to remain top
among the states with less mortality rates in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary commended Governor Willie Obiano for funding
the Agency as at when due, and urged affluent Ndi Anambra and other
residents of the State to key into the adoption model introduced by
the agency to help vulnerable and the downtrodden to benefit from the
scheme.
