Keeping the environment healthy and maintaining the natural cycle in
the exchange of Oxygen and Carbondioxide between plant and animal have
been emphasized as necessary to ensuring healthy living.

tree planting campaign to ABS premises Awka.

strategic places within the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS
Corporate Headquarters, Awka compound, as Rotary members and
dignitaries attended in their numbers and joined in the planting of
trees exercise.

environment is indispensable for healthy living and disclosed that the
state Legislature, has passed necessary bills to protect the
environment, urging Ndi Anambra to join the campaign.
Also speaking the Commissioner for Information and Public
Enlightenment Mr. C Don Adinuba said the intervention was in line with
the state government programmes of planting economic trees and
protecting the environment.
Earlier, the President, Rotary Club of Awka Metropolis, Mr. Fabian
Okoye, explained that Rotary has six areas of intervention but because
of deforestation as a result of human activities, tree planting was
added as the seventh intervention in order to encourage afforestation,

In their separate remarks, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. CP Abang
and Rotary Assistant Governor for District 9142 Zone Eight, Mr. Uche
