Claimants to herbal COVID-19 cure solutions have been charged to
subject their research discoveries to regular procedural checks.

The Minister of State for Health, Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora gave the
charge when a company, approached him with its herbal organic therapy
for recognition.

Ekwi Ajide of our Abuja bureau reports that the Minister charged them
to follow due process by enlisting such with the National Agency for
Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, and further clinical
trials with the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and
Development, NIPRD.

Dr. Mamora, having listened to the presentation by Bella Sahara
Limited, commended their efforts for the drug research and for coming
up with the Organic Therapy Cellular and Immune Bolstering solution
with which it hopes to join the global efforts in the fight against
COVID-19.

He expressed belief that Nigeria needs to “look inwards” for a search
to COVID-19 solution and indeed any other pandemic, arguing that
Nigeria should not jettison its own as God has a purpose for
everything he created.

The Minister charged researchers, who want the Ministry to support
their discoveries to note that the world is presently driven by data
and science as everything must conform to procedures of science before
one can hope to market it to other nations.
