As Secondary Schools in Anambra State continue with the West African School Certificate Examination taking place throughout the country, Education Correspondent Theophilus Ukoha who visited some schools within the State reports that all COVID 19 protocols were strictly observed.
At Capital City Secondary School Awka, the Principal Mrs. Adaora Adibe said their two hundred and twenty one students taking the examination were subjected to thorough screening and checks, ensuring that they comply with all the precautionary rules of COVID 19.
At Igwebuike Grammar School Awka, the Principal Mr. Jovita Arazu, who was on ground to ensure that sitting arrangements of students six meters apart were strictly observed, said the school management went extra miles to prepare the students for the exams.
At Community Secondary School, Umuokpu Awka, the story was the same as all the students were seen sitting six meters apart, wearing their face mask, while taking the exanimation.
The Principal of the school Mrs. Rose Onugha said the students were well prepared for the exams.
The Principal Girls Secondary School Amaenyi Awka, Lady Winnie Ibezim, represented by Vice Principal Academic Mrs. Ebere Okoye said their two hundred and thirty one students were strictly checked.
While the Principal St John of God Secondary School Awka, Lady Anthonia Nwaneke and her Assistant Manager Reverend Father Johnbosco Nkanyinmuo said the school management went through all the checks ensuring that the students observed all the protocols.
