The leadership of National Union of Local Government Employee, in Anambra State, has re-affirmed its resolve to remain supportive of the policies and programmes of the State government.
The President of the Union Comrade Chikwelu Adigwe, stated this during their State Executive Council meeting in Awka.
Commending Governor Willie Obiano for his legacy projects including the Airport at Umueri, International Conference center in Awka, among others, Comrade Adigwe remarked that Governor Obiano has written his name in gold with regards to sustainable development in Anambra State.
He lauded the commitment of the State government towards the welfare of the workers including that of the local government pointing out that harmonization of local government workers salary and implementation of promotions for its staff members are clear evidence.
Comrade Adigwe who regretted the act of few individuals to blackmail the Union and destabilize the government noted that the Union is in harmony with the Anambra State government and the Local Government Service Commission.
