The Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works, Dr.
Timothy Ifedioramma says the committee will advise the Anambra State
Government to blacklist construction firms doing shoddy jobs in the
state to put a final stop to the practice.

House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Dr.
Ifedioramma disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Awka on
the twenty nine years anniversary of the creation of Anambra state.
The Lawmaker who thanked God for the peace, unity and progress the
state has recorded for past twenty years noted that the state is
making steady progress.

He said at twenty nine, Anambra has the best network of roads in
Nigeria and the safest state across the federation, which has resulted
in influx of investments into the state.

The Works Committee chairman, expressed joy that since the inception
of APGA government in Anambra State, the state has performed
exceedingly well in education, internally generated revenue,
Agriculture, youth empowerment among others.

He however frowned at the attitude of some Ndi Anambra who see the
development of the state as the sole responsibility of government and
called for attitudinal change.

He maintained that his Committee is determined to ensure full
realization of Governor Willie Obiano’s vision in road construction by
insisting that construction firms handling road construction in the
state stick to specifications
