food sufficiency in this part of the country  in post COVID-19 pandemic
era.

The Member Representing Njikoka Two Constituency at the Anambra State
House of Assembly, Honourable Pete Ibida gave the encouragement during
this year’s Iwaji festival of Nimo community, Njikoka council area.

agriculture, as according to him, farming is no more the profession of
the aged or illiterate persons  as regarded before now.

festival observed by Igbo people each year to appreciate God for

also strengthens bond of unity among members of the community.

his administration has accorded farmers in the state since inception,
and expressed hope that such gesture would continue in the state.

Speaking during the ceremonial cutting of the new yam, the Traditional
Ruler of Nimo community, Igwe Maxi Ike Oliobi thanked God for blessing
the community this farming season and prayed for longevity in the
community, and more bountiful harvests ahead.

He reminded his subjects of  the need to love one another and avoid any
act that could truncate peace that exists in the community, and
assured them of more peaceful reign.
