The Chairman, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, Mr.
Patrick Ugboaja says over two thousand head teachers in Primary and Junior Secondary Schools have received quality training in readiness for school re-opening in the State.
He disclosed this when the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Economic Planning, Sustainable Development Goals and Foreign Donor paid a familiarization visit to the Board in Awka.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Mr Ugboaja emphasized that the teachers were trained in six centres across the three senatorial district.
According to him, the teachers and their principals are to oversee the re-opening of over one thousand schools in the state after being equipped with COVID-19 materials and protocols for each School.
He noted that already, three seater desks, sanitizers, soaps and hand washing buckets with taps have been provided for the smooth re-opening of each primary and Junior secondary schools across the State.
Earlier, the Chairman, House Committee on Economic Planning, Sustainable Development Goals and Foreign Donor, Honourable Ebele Ejiofor commended Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board for judiciously executing the projects funded by the Universal Basic Education Commission, adding that the committee will visit the field to verify classroom blocks built and those being trained with Universal Basic Education Commission fund.
