Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala says the State will enter into partnership with a commercial Bank and Health partners to digitize State-owned healthcare facilities.


Dr Okpala stated this during an advocacy visit by the representatives of a group in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka.
The Commissioner explained that the partnership will help in ensuring good data collection, better documentation and optimal performance from healthcare providers in the State.


He noted that Anambra State Government encourages Public Private Partnership, in all sectors through an enabling environment created by Governor Willie Obiano.


The Commissioner re-assured the group of the State government’s commitment to partnering them.


One of the representatives, Mr Nnamdi Onyia said that they were seeking partnership with the State government with regards to the bank’s strategy and digitization of healthcare in Anambra State.


Mr Onyia maintained that the bank resolved to reposition healthcare not only in Anambra but in all the States in order to help the people have access to quality healthcare.


He explained that the essence of the partnership is to ensure that people in the State enjoy quality healthcare and a healthcare system to be digitized.
Present during the visit were Dr Ugochukwu Chukwulobelu, State Director Medical Services, Mrs Oluchi Onyedikachi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Equipment and Supply among others.
