The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Anambra State has announced its readiness to commence the safe reopening of its Orientation camp after putting facilities in place.


The State Coordinator, Mr. Kehinde Aremu, who made the announcement during ABS TV programme, Good Morning Anambra, added that isolation and care centers have been set up within the camp to curtail any suspected case of infection.


Mr. Aremu said in line with COVID-19 guidelines, the camp, which has a capacity of four thousand, will be admitting only one thousand two hundred Corps members adding that the camp has been provided with sixty-five wash- hand facilities, to be placed at strategic places within the camp ground.


While unveiling that the camp awaits the final stage of inspections, which will be conducted by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Mr. Aremu explained that the Community Development Service, CDS, programmes will be restricted to the individual format in order to prevent corps members from congregating in large numbers.
He commended Governor Willie Obiano for the support he has given to the NYSC in Anambra State.
