The ongoing local government tour embarked upon by the All Progressive
Grand Alliance, APGA, continues as the State Working Committee of the
party visited Orumba South council area.

The tour which held at the council’s secretariat at Umunze attracted
party stalwarts, while issues affecting the party as well as the right
approach to strengthening the party ahead of the 2021 gubernatorial
election formed the major discourse.

Addressing the gathering made up of the party ward executives from
across the eighteen political wards under the local government, the
local government party executives and other stakeholders within the
local government, the state Chairman of the party, Sir Norbert Obi
reassured of more government presence, with regards to completing the
ongoing road projects as well as other areas that needed government
attention within the local government, urging them to remain good
ambassadors of the party at the community level.

Sir Norbert promised that they will visit again, and highlighted the
need for APGA to remain in power after the 2021 election.

The representative of Orumba South in the State House of Assembly,
Honorable Emmanuel Nwafor, the Commissioner for Housing, Anambra
state, Architect Mike Okonkwo and a former Deputy Governor of Anambra
state, Engineer Emeka Sibudu while receiving the State Working
Committee reassured that Orumba South will deliver APGA during the
election.

A stakeholder in the council area, Dr Foster Ihejiofor had earlier
commended the efforts of the Obiano led administration in managing
power and resources for the good of all, noting that the state is
doing much in diversifying the economy and adding value to the
standard of living of the people.

In their separate remarks, the Orumba South party Chairman, Mr
Paulinus Umennadi, and the Transition Committee Chairman of the
Council Area, Chief Cyprain Okereke, noted that APGA, having  performed
commendably well across all the sectors over the years, deserves
another opportunity.

The tour was graced by the presence of the APGA National Chairman,
Chief Victor Oye, represented by his P.A, Chief Michael Nwofor, the
member representing Aguata one in the State House of Assembly,
Honorable Carter Umeh among others.

Highlight of the event include, chanting of solidarity songs by the women in declaration of their unflinching support to the party, interactive session,
performance and record assessment of the ward and local government
executives by the state working committee.
