Living a purpose-driven life and knowing where one can fulfill that
purpose, will go a long way in preventing suicidal thoughts.
A lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Federal
University of Technology Owerri, Imo state, Dr Ekene Mbonu, stated
this during an interaction with Queen Anigbogu in Awka.

Dr Mbonu said that everyone is created to be a solution to a problem
just as the Biblical Moses, who solved the problem of setting the
Israelites free from bondage.

He noted that for anyone to avoid frustrations in life, such a person
must discover the exact purpose for which God created him.
For Mr. Mishael Okoye, a Psychologist at the Hez Dike Secondary
School, Awka, people start having suicidal thoughts when they are not
satisfied with their achievements at a certain age.

He said COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of crisis to humanity but
noted that maturity is the ability to handle crisis in life.
Mr. Okoye, however, pointed out that life challenge is not worth one
taking his or her life.
