The Nigerian Union of Journalist, Anambra State Council has commended the Management of Federal Polytechnic, Oko for the cordial relationship existing between the Polytechnic community and the Union.
The State Chairman of the Council, Comrade Emma Ifesinashi, gave the commendation when the Union paid a courtesy call to the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Francisca Nwafulugo in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area.

The delegation led by the state chairman of NUJ include the Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Udeagha, the Treasurer, Mr. Abuchi Onwumelu, Mr. Chris Obileri of Purity FM Awka among others.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Ifesinashi said the call was aimed at felicitating with their member who was recently promoted to the post of Acting Registrar of the Polytechnic. Mr. Obini Onuchukwu.
The Chairman, who commended the level of confidence the Acting Registrar entrusted in the discharge of his duty even when he was the Public Relations Officer of the Institution revealed that the institution has tremendously added value to the success of the union and the journalism profession.

He applauded the Rector for her administrative acumen, which has engendered peace and tranquility needed in every academic learning.
Responding, Rector Nwafulugo, appreciated the State Council of NUJ for the visit and stated that Mr. Obini has contributed to the accelerated development of the Polytechnic and assured to give him the maximum support needed in his new office.
In a remark, the Acting Registrar Mr. Onuchukwu thanked the NUJ for identifying with him noting that the visit has scaled up level of value in
his relationship with the Union.
The Deputy Rector, Dr. Izuchukwu Onu, the Acting Librarian, Mrs. Nwabu Ezemba and the State Deputy Chairman NUJ, Mr. Francis Ekpone were on ground to receive the NUJ team.
